Portland CT – The Portland Dryer Vent Cleaning Wizard helps support the Children’s Burn Foundation to commemorate National Fire Prevention Month while promoting dryer fire prevention. Dryer Vent Wizard is a member of the National Fire Protection Association and a nationwide franchise specializing in commercial and residential dryer vent service and maintenance.
Wristbands with the company’s slogan, “Prevent a Fire, Clean Your Dryer” are available for a small donation of just $5.00. The Wizard is giving 100 percent of the proceeds to the Children’s Burn Foundation.
More than 17,000 dryer fires occur annually causing deaths, injuries and property damage. Failure to clean dryer vents is the number one cause of dryer related hazards. • Do not store combustibles like cleaning supplies, cardboard boxes and flammable chemicals near the dryer
• Do not leave home or go to sleep when the dryer is running
• Have a professional dryer vent inspection and cleaning performed annually
